Fundraising Friends

My heart is full after my wonderful friends pulled off a surprise birthday/fundraising party on Saturday night. Since my birthday is coming up while I'm in Haiti, I thought I was getting together with my girlfriends to hang out and have a few laughs. This is tradition for all our birthday celebrations with variations in theme and venue.

One week from tomorrow and I fly to Haiti to embark on this adventure. Having the support of the people who mean the most to me - my family and friends - is a wonderful launch to the trip. I find myself humbled at the overwhelming support and compassion thrust in my direction and I will do everything I can to be worthy of this.
