SEO and Social Search
One of my faves, Nick Stamoulis from Brick Marketing, shares a great list of social factors that affect your SEO. Here is the list, but to read the whole post check it out here
1) Quality of followers – having real, human followers connected with your Twitter profile is worth more in the long run than many ghost profiles.
2) Number of reTweets – when a link is reTweeted several times, it suggests that it is good information worth sharing.
3) Number of Facebook comments – having a large number of followers but little engagement is a sign that someone is gaming the system.
4) Negative vs. Positive Brand Mentions – bad reviews can spread fast and good reviews are critical to business. You should be paying attention.
