Using YouTube as a Keyword Research Tool
Here's a terrific idea brought to you by our friends at www.seomoz.org. When researching keywords for a website I often use Google Adwords tool. It's fairly comprehensive, but only one viewpoint. In addition to typing in my ideas for keywords, I need to come up with alternative terms that might be used in the same industry. Enter YouTube.
When someone uploads a video to YouTube, they are prompted to add descriptive content about the video such as explanatory text or a relevant title. This makes for easier sorting and also means more information for us to access. Going beyond the video, which in itself will help education you on the topic of interest, you will see comments that may also contain terms you could use as keywords.
