What Phone for my Small Business?
There are certain tools that every small business needs. A computer and mobile phone are two of the most critical for my writing business. Since I spend most of my time online either doing research, checking email, engaging in social media or just writing content for websites, articles or newsletters, I have both a laptop and a desktop so that should anything happen to one, I can continue working on the other.
To connect with clients, associates and suppliers I need a phone. Since I want to be accessible most of the time, I use a mobile phone so I can connect from anywhere. I’ve been very happy with my Samsung Jack for over three years now, but am ready to make an upgrade to a more powerful phone with more features and access to a stronger network.
Enter my predicament. I have no loyalty to any type of device or company. So how do I decide which phone I should get? I don’t really see myself doing anything too fancy other than making and receiving phone calls and text messages with the added use of email, access to social media and YouTube thrown in. I can’t predict how many apps I’ll want, but it will pale in comparison to 100 my friend has. I’ll want a camera and the ability to read QR codes. As of today, I’m considering the Samsung Galaxy and the Sony Ericsson Xperia. I’m just beginning the research, but if there’s anyone out there who wants to weigh in with an opinion, I’m all ears.
